American online personality Kaitlyn Michelle Siragusa, known as Amouranth, experienced a terrifying ordeal when armed intruders stormed her home, assaulting her and demanding access to her cryptocurrency.
Amouranth is an American online streamer and internet personality known for her adult-oriented content.
The dramatic incident, which unfolded late at night on 2 March 2025, led to the arrest of four suspects, all under the age of 20.
Masked Intruders Demand Crypto Keys at Gunpoint
The attack took place at Siragusa’s residence in northwest Houston.
At around 10pm, three masked individuals forced their way into her home, confronting her in her bedroom.
Armed with firearms, they allegedly pistol-whipped her and demanded the private keys to her digital assets.
Siragusa, who had previously disclosed owning 211 Bitcoin—worth over $20 million as of late 2024—was targeted specifically for her cryptocurrency holdings.
Despite being under extreme duress, she managed to stall the assailants by leading them around the house in search of a cold storage device.
Meanwhile, her husband, Nick Lee, was on speakerphone and overheard the invasion in real time.
Recognising the imminent danger, he armed himself while watching the events unfold through the home's security cameras.
Shots Fired as Husband Confronts Armed Robbers
As the intruders searched the property, Siragusa seized an opportunity to escape and ran upstairs to where her husband was waiting.
As the situation escalated, Lee fired three gunshots toward the attackers, reportedly striking one before they retreated.
It was later revealed that Amouranth's husband was posting from her account while the home invasion was happening.
The suspects fled the scene as law enforcement officers arrived shortly after.
The home invasion is part of a concerning trend where criminals target individuals with significant cryptocurrency holdings.
High-profile investors and influencers have increasingly fallen victim to kidnappings and armed robberies, as criminals seek to exploit digital wealth that can be transferred instantly and often anonymously.
Arrests and Charges Filed Against Four Suspects
Following an intensive investigation, Houston police arrested four suspects, identified as:
- Bryan Anthony Salazar Guerrero, 19
- Dylan Nesho Campbell, 18
- Demarcus Morris Jr, 17
- An unnamed 16-year-old juvenile
Each faces serious felony charges, including aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon and aggravated kidnapping.
Guerrero was released on bond, while Campbell and Morris remain in custody.
The 16-year-old’s identity remains undisclosed due to legal protections for minors.
Criminals Targeting Crypto Holders on the Rise
Authorities believe the home invasion was a planned attack, likely motivated by Siragusa’s public discussions about her cryptocurrency investments.
The case adds to a growing number of violent crimes involving digital assets.
In January 2025, a UK court sentenced seven gang members for the prolonged kidnapping and extortion of a crypto investor, who was repeatedly assaulted and forced to hand over funds.
That same month, Ledger co-founder David Balland was abducted in France and held for ransom before being rescued by authorities.
Law enforcement agencies warn that publicly disclosing financial holdings—especially in digital assets—can make individuals prime targets for criminals.
Increased Security Measures After Harrowing Attack
Following the attack, Siragusa has reportedly reinforced her home security, hired private personnel, and reconsidered how much personal financial information she shares online.
Houston police continue their investigation, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.
Meanwhile, the case highlights the risks associated with public financial disclosures in an era where cryptocurrency is increasingly targeted by criminals.
