FIFA President Confirms Iran's Participation in World Cup Despite Tensions

FIFA President Gianni Infantino has confirmed that Iran will participate in the World Cup in the United States in June, despite ongoing armed conflicts between Iran and the U.S. According to Odaily, Infantino expressed his commitment to supporting the Iranian team. Iran is scheduled to play all its Group G matches in the U.S., with two games in Los Angeles and one in Seattle. Previously, the Iranian Football Federation had advocated for relocating the team's three World Cup group matches from the U.S. to Mexico. The Iranian Ministry of Sports has prohibited national and club sports teams from traveling to countries it considers hostile until further notice.
