Cursor Nears Completion of $2 Billion Funding Round

AI programming tool company Cursor is close to completing a new funding round, aiming to raise at least $2 billion, with a pre-money valuation of $50 billion. According to ChainCatcher, Thrive Capital and Andreessen Horowitz are expected to lead the round, with strategic investors like Nvidia participating, and Battery Ventures potentially joining as a new investor. If successful, this funding round would significantly increase Cursor's valuation from approximately $29.3 billion six months ago. In terms of revenue, Cursor reported an annualized income of around $2 billion in February and projects it will exceed $6 billion by the end of 2026. The company has also achieved positive gross margins in some business areas through its proprietary models and optimized cost structure.
