Paiger Biopharmaceutical (02565) said it has recently signed a material transfer agreement with SN BioScience to apply the Korean biotech company's self-developed serine nucleic acid long-acting drug delivery platform to three of its independently developed metabolic disease peptide candidates, including APGP6.
The two sides will jointly study formulation and long-acting delivery for the candidates to assess in-vivo performance, pharmacokinetic characteristics and further development potential, according to ETNet. Paiger said the collaboration will also examine whether combining the innovative molecules with the long-acting delivery technology can further improve product differentiation and development value. SN BioScience focuses on differentiated therapeutic platforms for obesity, metabolic diseases and oncology.
