The unnamed bank reported the missing funds to the authorities after discovering the theft. Police officials explained that the suspect allegedly took the cash in stages, with the final amount of 35 million rubles (352,600 USD) reportedly converted into cryptocurrency. A criminal case has been filed against the employee for suspected theft, and investigations into the circumstances of the alleged crime are ongoing. If convicted, the bank employee could face up to 10 years in prison.
