According to PANews, Malaysian authorities dismantled an illegal Bitcoin mining operation during the Op Letrik initiative in the Ulu Terengganu and Marang regions. The police seized 45 mining machines and related equipment valued at approximately 225,000 Malaysian Ringgit. The operation was responsible for stealing electricity, resulting in monthly losses of around 36,000 Malaysian Ringgit. The case is currently under investigation in accordance with relevant laws, with perpetrators potentially facing up to five years in prison and fines of up to 100,000 Malaysian Ringgit.
