Base Co-Founder Criticizes Centralized Exchange Practices

According to PANews, Jesse Pollak, co-founder of Base, expressed concerns on the X platform about the practices of centralized exchanges (CEX). Pollak revealed that a particular CEX charges projects 9% of their token supply as a listing fee, while other exchanges demand several percentage points. He described these practices as harmful and indicative of an industry monopoly. Pollak emphasized the need to dismantle this situation and advocated for a permissionless on-chain listing mechanism.
