According to CNBC, U.S. stock futures were little changed Monday night after a losing session, even as the major benchmarks posted monthly gains in August. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 11 points, S&P 500 futures were up less than 0.1%, and Nasdaq-100 futures were flat. The S&P 500 gained 2.6% in August, the Nasdaq Composite rose 3.9%, and the Dow added 1.3% for its fifth straight monthly advance. Wall Street ended the month lower, with the Dow falling more than 370 points in regular trading as oil prices climbed and rates moved higher after the U.S. struck two rocket launchers on Iran's Larak Island. Goldman Sachs traders said the market was showing signs of nervousness, citing new American Association of Individual Investors sentiment survey data. Investors are also facing a busy week of economic releases, including manufacturing and services data on Tuesday and Wednesday and the August jobs report on Friday, which economists polled by Dow Jones expect to show 53,000 jobs added.
