Lynsi Snyder-Ellingson, a food industry heiress, has invested $2 million. Venture capitalist William E. Ford has committed $1.25 million. Jerry Jones, owner of the NFL Dallas Cowboys, has invested $1 million. Chevron board member John Hess and his wife Susan Hess have each contributed $1 million.
