Anthropic, recognized as a leading developer of large language models, has garnered significant interest from investors. Earlier this year, Elon Musk's xAI sought $10 billion in funding, while OpenAI is in discussions for up to $40 billion in financing. Sources indicate that Lightspeed Venture Partners initially facilitated Anthropic's efforts to raise $2 billion at the beginning of the year. The funding target was subsequently increased to $3.5 billion due to oversubscription, reflecting strong market interest in the company.
