Visa Integrates USDC for Transaction Settlement on Solana Blockchain

According to PANews, Visa has announced that U.S. banks can now utilize the Solana blockchain to settle transactions using Circle's USDC stablecoin. This marks the first full deployment of Visa's stablecoin settlement service within the U.S. banking system. Initial participants include Cross River Bank and Lead Bank. This development is facilitated by regulatory relaxations during U.S. President Donald Trump's second term and is expected to advance the launch of the Arc chain, a collaborative project between Visa and Circle. Visa anticipates that stablecoins will become a crucial payment channel, with an annualized settlement volume reaching $3.5 billion by the end of November.
