QRT Expands Operations in Hong Kong with New Office

BODL Ventures founding partner Feng Liu revealed on the X platform that the legendary quantitative hedge fund QRT is increasing its presence in Hong Kong. According to Odaily, QRT has signed a lease for six floors in the Central IFC Phase 2, expected to be operational in the first quarter of next year, while simultaneously advancing its discreet Crypto Desk operations. In recent months, QRT's Hong Kong office has been actively recruiting for positions related to crypto asset research, quantitative analysis, and trading. Although its crypto trading activities are rarely disclosed publicly, industry insiders widely believe that QRT is accelerating the expansion of its crypto data and quantitative teams. QRT originated from the London quantitative fund team under Credit Suisse and later became independent through a management buyout (MBO). Bloomberg has described it as a "mysterious quantitative fund rewriting the rules of the $4.5 trillion hedge fund industry," yet its specific operations remain largely undisclosed.
