According to PANews, U.S. House Digital Assets Subcommittee Chairman Bryan Steil has indicated that the House's STABLE Act is set to align closely with the Senate's GENIUS Act following a review on Wednesday. This alignment comes after several rounds of draft revisions and technical assistance from the SEC and CFTC.
Steil noted that there is a 20% difference between the two bills, primarily in text rather than substantive content. The main distinctions lie in the requirements for international stablecoin issuers, state regulation of issuers, and some minor technical differences between the texts. Steil emphasized the importance of collaboration with Senate colleagues to advance the legislation.
