Trump Administration Considers Intel Stake Acquisition Amid Chip Act Funding

According to Foresight News, sources indicate that the Trump administration is contemplating acquiring approximately 10% of Intel's shares. The plan involves converting part or all of the funds allocated to Intel under the U.S. Chips and Science Act into equity. Intel has previously been allocated $10.9 billion from the Chips Act for commercial and military production. This amount is roughly sufficient to cover the targeted share acquisition. Based on Intel's current market valuation, a 10% stake in the chip manufacturer is estimated to be worth around $10.5 billion.
