Simcere Zaiming, the oncology innovation drug unit of Simcere Pharmaceutical Group, has signed an exclusive licensing agreement with Roche for the global development and commercialization of SIM0660, a CD79a/CD19/CD3 trispecific antibody with potential in multiple B-cell related diseases, according to Jiemian News. Under the deal, Roche will obtain exclusive global rights to develop, manufacture and commercialize the drug. Simcere Zaiming is eligible to receive up to $1.53 billion in total payments, including a $75 million upfront fee, and may also receive tiered royalties of up to double digits on future net sales. Simcere Pharmaceutical Group said it has completed six out-licensing deals so far, with potential total transaction value exceeding $6.1 billion.
